Superconducting materials: key technology for the energy transition
This presentation will connect the physical properties that make superconductors a unique material with their fundamental role in the energy transition challenge. Through some illustrative videos, we will explore their relationship with phenomena such as magnetic levitation and understand how these materials make some counterintuitive behaviors possible. In addition, we will observe and manipulate these materials, which have the form of extremely thin sheets, almost invisible without a flexible support that allows their proper manipulation.
