XXI International Festival of Putchinellis
From October 9 to November 1, Teatre La Puntual hosts the 21st edition of the Barcelona International Festival of Puppets, one of the city’s most prominent puppet and object theater events. The festival will gather four companies from England, Italy, Castile and Leon and the Balearic Islandswhich will present shows of high artistic quality, many of which are premiering for the first time at La Puntual. The programming is committed to author’s theatre, creative freedom and the diversity of stage languages, with proposals for family audiences that they combine puppets, theater of objects, shadows, music and humor. For four weekends, La Puntual will become a meeting place between international creators and spectators of all ages, where imagination, tradition and innovation will coexist.

A show without words, structured in short and funny scenes, where each story moves the audience from a sense of humor

Co. Prince Totilau (Balearic Islands)
This is the story of a sick king who, to heal himself, needs a flower that no one has ever seen, the Romania flower

Co. Steve Tiplady (UK)
Steve Tiplady, in the role of Geppetto, uses the objects from his carpentry workshop to tell the story of the puppet who wanted to be a real boy
