[Xerrada] El potencial de l’animació en el cinema documental

With Irina Warner
Wednesday, April 15, at 7 p.m
Sala Kaleidoscope – Plaça Acadèmia building
Free entry

Irina Warner invites us to reflect on the potential of experimental animation in documentary cinema; during the talk, the artist will show us some fragments of documentaries that use animation and give us a brief introduction to the techniques they use. Irina will also talk to us about her work, as a visual artist and
filmmaker, who explores narratives in order to represent memory and strategies of resistance, seeking to grasp other sensitivities, views and forms of coexistence.

Irina Warner (Germany, 1993) has a degree in Fine Arts and a master’s degree in Screenwriting and Directing of Documentary Film. She writes and directs her own documentary, experimental and animation projects and works for others as a director, documentarian, assistant director and production, editor, photographer, illustrator and workshop artist.

In May, Irina Warner will teach the workshop:
Video-documentary creation with experimental animation techniques, where you will learn to build non-fiction stories, experimenting with animation techniques (painting, objects on glass and collage), frame by frame.
