“Fondois a photographic work I did for seven years on a sandy esplanade in Santa Coloma de Gramenet. This esplanade was found in front of the bottom metro stop.

I discovered it, thanks to my student Juanito. I asked if I could take photos skating and answered: “The street is everyone’s ”

Shortly afterwards, I discovered that this space was a huge life center, where people gathered to do different activities; birdaires, breakdance, the music band, the talets … vital energy that spread it.

Now, after twenty years, I look at the photos and they seem much older to me, maybe because our society has changed a lot in this time: the use of public space, the relationships between people, urbanism, Covid -19 …

Deep It was a way of being, of living, that I want to be recognized and valued, for me it was: vital, close, simple, tolerant, sometimes raw, but always authentic and very human. “
