In 2026, 200 years of tenderness, ingenuity, wood, threads and adventures are celebrated with the bicentenary of the birth of Carlo Collodi (Florence, 1826), the writer who gave life to Pinocchiothe most famous of the marionettes.
You know what Pinocchio’s fantastic adventures are like, right? But there are details that only he can tell you. Now that he’s grown up, he invites you to his workshop so you can hear and see what those days were really like when he was a marionette. Get ready for a fantastic journey full of truths!
This is a show for family audiences that combines puppets, marionettes and Chinese shadows on one stage. It is about the representation of the classic The Adventures of Pinocchiobut narrated directly for the protagonist, en Pinocchio. Set at the beginning of the s. XX, Pinocchio, who was born from the pen of Carlo Collodi in 1883, is now a grown man. In the atmosphere of the 2nd Industrial Revolution, a time of great inventions such as: the electric light bulb, the gramophone or the telephone, the protagonist tells his story as he remembers it. The delicacy of the shadows is supported by a “puppet” language, direct and fun, designed to excite everyone, young and old.
