Experimental Photo Festival | Gencat Cultural Agenda

The city of Barcelona hosts the seventh edition of theExperimental Photo Festivalan international meeting dedicated to experimental, analogue and hybrid photography. The festival transforms various spaces in the city into a creative laboratory open to artists, researchers, students and the public interested in contemporary photographic practice.

The program includes more than 22 exhibitions with national and international artists, as well as an extensive program of conferences, specialized workshops, portfolio viewings and an artist residency. The activities focus on experimentation, materiality and the exchange of knowledge, addressing techniques such as cyanotype, bichromate gum, digital hybrid processes and alternative practices.

Featured artists include María Solaguren-Beascoa Negre with the project Flying Roots and Lluís Estopiñan with The Time Betweenas well as international creators such as Erik Johansson, Barbara Justice or Isabelle Gagne. The conferences will deal with topics such as feminist photography, ecology, archiving or hybrid technologies.
