“Like a dance of starlings” addresses the emergence of a porous being, capable of spreading its wings and using its subjectivity as a space of liberation, opening new ways of being and acting in the world. They fly in groups. Hundreds of thousands of birds move together through the winter sky. In a precise choreography, they stretch and contract, hover and rise to form large clouds; it is what we know as the “dance of the starlings”. No one can predict what their movements will be, in fact they themselves do not know where they will fly in the seconds to come. In a true aerial ballet, these birds display, like very few, a perfect flight synchrony.
