Zarrillo mainly works on ceramic countertoptransforming a traditionally domestic and functional support into one critical surface. with shiny enamels and a seductive aesthetic, his pieces combine golden weapons, flowers, angels i symbols of power in a universe that oscillates between the glamor and the social complaintalways with a subtle sense of humor.
The Italian artist established in Barcelona since 1991has developed a solid trajectory linked to thescenography and to video designcollaborating with companies like The Fura dels Baus and participating in international operatic productions. He is currently focusing his research on his personal project TILE WITH LOVEwhere he explores the expressive possibilities of theceramic glaze as a contemporary pictorial medium.
