Display "The temptation of modernity"

Modernism today represents one of the highlights that Catalonia has experienced in its culture throughout its history, currently appreciated around the world. The MEAM presents for the first time the Catalan statuary of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries from a different perspective, bringing the visitor closer to the large collection that has this period, enriched with various works from other collections, some unpublished and never shown to the public so far. Elvisitant will be able to contemplate the works of his main representatives, but also to discover other lesser -known names, but not less interesting. It will also be surprised to discover unique facets or aspects that, however, became characteristic of this movement. Therefore, this exhibition aims to offer an opportunity to enjoy, but also to rethink the various sculptural manifestations that took place in Catalonia at the end of the century, a time when a true golden age lived.
