Day vsi (integrated social value) – Ateneu

Last Tuesday 20, a meeting of organizations that have measured their impact through the integrated social value methodology (VSI) took place at the Prat de Llobregat Economic Promotion Center. A session to share experiences, tools and reflections on how to value the actual social impact of social and solidarity economics projects. The activity was organized by The City Council of El Prat and Promoted by the Ateneu Cooperativa del Baix Llobregat, within the framework of May Cooperativa 2025.

Integrated social value is a concept that refers to the capacity of an organization to have a global positive impact on society, beyond economic results. In one measure it integrates the economic, social, environmental and ethical value that is created through the activity of an entity. This means that, in addition to considering revenue, jobs or taxes, there are also aspects such as social inclusion, improvement of quality of life, reduction of environmental impact and trusting relationships established with the community and stakeholders. This approach allows to better understand the real contribution of an organization to collective well -being, facilitating more conscious, sustainable and common good decision -making. Integrated social value thus becomes a useful tool for accountability and to value actions that, despite not having a direct economic translation, generate tangible benefits for society and the environment.
