‘Corteo’, the visual feat of Cirque du Soleil
Courtoone of the most fascinating and applauded shows of the Cirque du Soleilarrives in its pavilion version at the Palau Sant Jordi in Barcelona. There are 10 functions that start on March 27 and end on April 6. This large -format version of Courto It lands after the show appeared at the Barcelona Forum in the carpa version 12 years ago. On that occasion he dazzled by the stage poetry of the whole montage: giants, Heli balloons, walking shoes alone, fanfare and even flying bicycles with the protagonist of the pedaling show as E.
The show was the 18th production of Cirque du Soleil and premiered in 2005, exactly two decades ago, in Canada. Was the first creation of Daniel Finzi Passcathe prestigious director who signed a few years later Luziathe show on Mexico we saw in Catalonia not many years ago, by 2022. Finzi Pasca shows a Courto The fascination that since childhood feels for the clowns. There are characters inspired by the Commedia Dell’Arte and also an endangered clown on circus slopes around the world: the Carablanc. In part, the story of the show is inspired by a painting of the National Gallery of Canada, which moves it away from the futuristic airs of much of the repertoire of shows of Cirque du Soleil and brings it closer to a more classic aesthetic.
Courtowhich means ‘parade’ in Italian, is a great procession (cheerful!) Product of the imagination of the clown Mauro, which illuminated by the moon and guarded by the angels of the guard dreams of his own funeral in a carnival atmosphere and surrounded by nomadic artists. As you already did Tortell Poltrona into Rimegiesthe show of the Soleil tells us that we are calm, that the transition from the real world to death can be celebrated.
The show, initially of a tent, is one of the creations that has best adapted to the large pavilions after making the jump in largest format. He was awarded last year with the Pollllsar Award in the Non-Musical Family Event tour category, a prestigious recognition of the American live entertainment industry.
There are 53 artists, there is an orchestra of eight musicians and you can see high quality numbers and various circus techniques (elastic bed, aerial picture, juggling, hula-hoop or parallel bars, among others). The central position of the track, located between two side bleachers, and some curtains inspired by great artists such as Picasso are other elements that make Courto A very special and different show from the rest. There is even a Monsieur Loyal (presenter) who whistles a whole song and does what the soleil knows how well: to make art the most everyday things.
