The exhibition “Carme Garcia inèdita” is an initiative of the Agrupació Fotogràfica de Catalunya that wants to pay tribute to a distinguished member who has already disappeared, showing a little-known side of her career: her experimental work. In the privacy of her home laboratory, Carme Garcia developed a highly coherent and modern work, exploring innovative techniques that place her as a figure ahead of her time.

Framed within the year in which the Pati Llimona Civic Center gives the name of the photographer to one of its exhibition halls and participating as an Entity with a part of this unpublished work in the Enfocats Festival 2026, this exhibition at the Pati Llimona scheduled for the end of 2026 closes the period of tribute to the author, with the intention of completing the knowledge we have of her.

The exhibition offers the public a tour, starting from his works with the most audacious proposals: montages with a combination of negatives, extreme contrasts, unusual perspectives, landscapes reduced to graphic forms, images colored with anilines and surprising presentation formats, until arriving at works of his most well-known and referenced themes where prizes, portraits, cities and landscapes are included. All of this reveals a restless artist, with a refreshing look and a sensibility capable of transforming photography into a field of visual experimentation.
