The Weight of Plastic is an ephemeral installation of contemporary art that seeks to generate one
immersive and reflective experience about the consumption of plastic in today’s society.
Through a monumental scale, the work visually and physically confronts the viewer with the symbolic imbalance between the volume and weight of discarded plastic and its environmental impact.
This installation seeks to provoke deep reflection on the footprint we leave on the planet.
Who is the Artist?
I am Javier Chicoproduct designer and industrial design.
I am currently designing spaces and visual installations of ephemeral architecture, where I play with colors, spaces, geometries and lighting.
In parallel furniture design, from lamps, tables and shelves. I have done different projects that focus on the problem of waste of materials, reuse and fixing before buying.
Use technology as a tool without leaving aside the return to manual work. As a designer of ephemeral spaces, events and installations on site I have designed and executed different installations at festivals such as the MIRA festival, fairs such as ISE BARCELONA, SMART CITY BARCELONA, BRIDAL or MWC.
