A museum outside the museum
The exhibition “A museum outside the museum” proposes to bring contemporary works of art from MACBA Collection and Archive to everyday spaces and social relationships throughout Catalonia to generate new forms of encounter with art.
A dentist’s waiting room, a pastry shop, the dressing rooms of a football pitch, a mortuary or bus stops are some of the spaces that host this project driven by Department of Culturein collaboration with the visual arts centers of Catalonia and the MACBA.
the project wants to offer experiences of proximity with citizensoutside the usual context of exhibiting the works, and deploying contemporary art throughout the country.
A project curated by Martí Manen.
