Night of the Churches 2026

The Network of Sacred Catalonia has organized for Friday June 26 the third night filling more churches with candles and silence.

Churches, apart from being the space where the different acts of the Christian community are celebrated, tend to be architectural areas that fill with peace and help to deal, serenely, with matters of the heart and soul. Enter, keep quiet, sit for a while, listen and listen: here is a very practiced and highly recommended custom.

The Night of the Churches initiative proposes to open spaces in some churches exclusively illuminated by candlelight, in order to emphasize and thank the work that our buildings do to help us live more intensely and with more judgment. Just architecture, sculpture and candlelight. No circuits, no music or speeches. Just a lighted space so that, in silence and tranquility, we can see and talk to our own inner self.

Inspired by initiatives like “the Night of the Churches” from France or Mallorca’s “Night of the Churches”., Sacred Catalonia proposes to rediscover these temples in silence and experience the Cultural Heritage in a different way.

There must be absolute silence.
