
Eixos verds – un retrat urbà
We are looking for neighbors who want to photograph and think about the neighborhood
What is it about?
Eixos verds – an urban portrait is a collective project to document the urban transformation of the green areas of Sant Antoni —Parliament/Borrell— through participatory photography.
Who drives it?
The project is driven by seven public facilities in and around Sant Antoni:
- Joan Oliver Library
- Casal Calabria 66
- Cotxeres Borrell Civic Centre
- Civic Center Casa Golferichs
- LGTBI+ space
- Germanetes Elderly Home
- Great Sant Antoni Community Center
- Cotxeres Borrell Kindergarten and Calabria 66 Kindergarten
Who accompanies the process?
The initial training sessions will be led by Ricard Martínez, fromPoint of View Archaeologyprofessional photographer of reference, together with a cultural mediator and the facilitator of the Espai Francesc Català-Roca, Maribel Mata
The participants will therefore have technical, artistic and community support throughout the entire project.
What will I learn and do?
The participants will learn the technique of rephotography. The process will culminate in a collective exhibition with the photographs taken.
What will it consist of?
The first three training sessions, scheduled for the spring of 2026, will be held with Ricard Martínez and will last 3 hours, approximately from 5 to 8 p.m.
- Session 1 — May 19, 2026: Presentation of the project, introduction to the methodology of rephotography and construction of the point of view. In the Catalan-Roca Photography Space.
- Session 2 — May 26, 2026: Practical photographic tour around the neighborhood. Capture of the images before the works. on the street
- Session 3 — June 2, 2026: Rephotography editing techniques. In the Catalan-Roca Photography Space.
Afterwards, a quarterly meeting will be held to follow up photographically on how the works are progressing, following the technique learned during the first three training sessions.
What is the commitment?
This is a long-term project, from April 2026 to July 2027, with an exhibition scheduled for 2028. Participation involves:
- Attend the three initial workshops, between May and June 2026.
- Participate in photographic outings during and after the works: one outing per quarter.
📷 It is advisable to have your own camera, either handheld, compact or SLR.
Where will it all end?
The photographs taken by the group may become part of the District’s historical archive and will be exhibited in a group exhibition in May 2028, in a format yet to be confirmed.
