04/18 – 12 p.m. Guided visit by Enrique Handelsman, curator of the exhibition.

Saturday, April 18 at 11 a.m.

Guided visit by Commissioner Enrique Handelsman of the project REVEAL THE HORROR, 50 years of the Argentine coup d’état. The look of Eduardo Longoni.

Through this visit you will be able to learn about Eduardo Longoni’s photographic project, the human and documentary vision of one of the darkest chapters in Argentine history.

About the exhibition

Exactly 50 years ago, on March 24, 1976, a civil-military coup ended democracy in Argentina as part of Plan Condor, a US-backed campaign of political repression and state terrorism that violently changed the societies of South America. Torture, rape, the disappearance of people and the appropriation of minors were the tools for the installation of an economic system that has always looked north since then.

About the author

Eduardo Longoni, (1959) photojournalist from Buenos Aires, was a close witness of the repression, but also of the daily resistance and the growing social struggle that led to the end of the dictatorship (1983) and the consequent Judgment of the Juntas (1985), convicting for crimes against humanity.

Today it is essential to re-reveal these photographs, so that the horror is never repeated.

A project by: La Nau Especial.
