[Enfocats 2026] Memory point of the Gothic quarter

This space is a point of collective memory of the neighborhood. A place where we collect memories, experiences and personal views linked to its streets, squares, bookstores, reading corners or spaces that are part of your history. And a starting point to create literature.

We invite you to participate by leaving:

  • Short writings or longer texts (personal memories, anecdotes, stories, descriptions of a special place, relationships with books or novels set in the neighborhood).
  • Photographs that accompany these memories or that evoke a space, a moment or an emotion.

Important: Photographs must be copies, not originals. The bookstore and civic center cannot be held responsible for unique or irreplaceable materials.

THE COLLECTION POINTS WILL BE THE SANT JORDI BOOKSTORE (Carrer de Ferran, 41) AND THE PATI LLIMONA CIVIC CENTER (Carrer del Regomir, 3)

If you prefer, you can also participate by sending your texts and images by email (convocatories@patillimona.net), indicating your name and a brief explanation of the shared memory.

This archive is open and alive: all contributions are part of a collective fund that will serve as a basis for further activities. It will be available from March 16 to April 24.

From the material collected, the Lost Time Reading Clubtogether with the Sant Jordi bookstore and the Pati Llimona Civic Center, are organizing a guided literary walk through the Gothic quarter that will be May 21 at 6 p.m. The tour is built from the archive: fragments of memory, literary texts, readings out loud and comments that connect the spaces of the neighborhood with the stories that have been deposited there. The walk ends at the bookstore with an open discussion, a space for conversation around questions such as: How is the memory of a neighborhood built? What happens when a memory becomes a story? How do the written word and the image interact in the transmission of memory?

In the open forum, people who have left material at the memory point can explain their experience, the text and the photograph they have left.

Thank you for sharing your memory and helping us all build the living story of the neighborhood.

Organized by: LOST TIME READING CLUB, SANT JORDI BOOKSTORE AND CC PATI LLIMONA
