CHIMÆRA
From March 12 to May 9
Temporary – Barcelona Cultural District
The exhibition shows some sculptures formed from the union of two Hispano-Muslim ceramic atuells. These works allude to the conflicting relationship between Christians and Muslims throughout the history of the Iberian Peninsula, but they are also a plea in favor of cultural exchange and the social integration of immigration through art. For this reason, the project is completed with a series of workshops aimed at young immigrants from the neighborhood from which they will participate in the production of audiovisual materials that explore the notion of belonging to a new environment.
