In a context marked by the housing emergency and the debate about which model of housing we want for the future, the Federation of Housing Cooperatives of Catalonia (Habicoop) takes a step forward with the publication of a study that puts data to what many already intuit: cooperative housing in transfer of use is not only a viable alternative, but a proposal with a high social, economic and environmental impact.

the next Wednesday, December 17of 1 pm to 2:30 pmwill take place on online presentation of the impact study of cooperative housing in transfer of useproduced by the cooperatives walk i The Risell, in collaboration with Barcelona City Council, and within the framework of DadESS Working Group of the #ESSBCN2030 Strategy.

This will be the first time that the study is presented outside of Barcelona, ​​a fact that reinforces the desire to disseminate the results throughout the territory and make them available to the cooperative movement as a whole and to local administrations. It analyzes key elements such as the degree of satisfaction of residents, the functioning of common spaces, transparency in management or the level of participation in community life.

The event will have the participation of David Guard (Habicoop), Eulalia Tubau (Civic Roof) i Alma Porta (walk)coordinator of the study. An opportunity to learn about data that can mark a before and after in the formulation of public housing policies from a transformative perspective.
