On the saint’s day of Santa Eulàlia, MACBA marks Barcelona’s winter festivities with an open day combining art and celebration. All this culminates in the evening with the opening of the first major exhibition in Spain by the duo Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahmean essential event concerning historical narratives and contemporary conflict.
You can also visit Like a dance of starlingsthe new display of the MACBA Collection that celebrates the museum’s 30th anniversary by creating a dialogue between the works and new ways of being. As well as this, immerse yourself in Project a Black Planet: The Art and Culture of Panafrica to discover Pan-African imaginations and the collaborative spirit of Pan-Africanism, and enjoy Anna Morenoit’s work The Third Twistwhich invites us to think about collective work and the poetic transformation of spaces.
