exhibition "André du Colombier. A lyrical point of view"

André Paliard Iscu was born in 1952 in Barcelona. At the beginning of the seventies he studied Literature and Philosophy in Paris. Determined to become an artist, he changed his surname to Du Colombier, which means ‘of the dovecote’, and in 1977 presented his first solo exhibition, Modestie, Compétence et Efficacy The “lyrical point of view” of the title of this exhibition – which comes from the text that accompanied André du Colombier’s show at Patricia Dorfmann’s Parisian gallery in 1999 – says goodbye to the attitude of an artist that, with his elusive work, continues to confront us, free and equal, with the ever-changing task of interpretation. You can consult more information about the exhibition “André du Colombier. A lyrical point of view” on the Tàpies Museum website. Last update: 13/10/2025
