Caring for childhood with rigor, proximity and lots of vocation – Ateneo
There are projects that are born with tenderness and perseverance. Deltacoop It is one. This social initiative cooperative has been accompanying children, young people and families in the Baix Llobregat for more than 25 years, with socio -educational, preventive and therapeutic services. They work from their own centers and municipal spaces in Viladecans, Gavà, Castelldefels and Begues, and do so with a team of 46 professionals (mostly women) who combine experience and commitment in each intervention.
They offer services such as the CDIAP, the Sale, the SOAF or the aquatic therapy, always with an interdisciplinary look and focused on integral development. In addition, they participate in intercooperation initiatives such as Akane and Naviscoop, and are clear about a commitment to a model of close, community and feminist care. As a promoting entity of the Ateneu Cooperativa del Baix Llobregat and members of the Social and Cultural Cercle, they are also benchmarks within the social economy applied to the world of care.
