We present the annual call for exhibitions CC Pati Llimona 2026.

Thematic

The subject is free, the project can be individual or collective. Only one project per person and/or group will be accepted.

Opening of the call: at 10 a.m. on September 21, 2026.

Closing of the call: at 11.45 p.m October 12, 2026proposals will not be accepted outside these dates.

Communication to the selected: During the last week of October 2026.

Selection of projects and Award

The jury will select the two projects with the highest rating.

These projects will each receive a prize of €1000.00 (VAT included), which will be used exclusively for the printing* of the project submitted to this call. Likewise, they gain the right to enter the program of exhibitions of the Civic Center Pati Llimona.

As a sponsor of this call, the entire value of this prize must be used in the laboratory IMPRESSIVE.

*Printing conditions: papers from the Photo and Fine art Line available in the price tariff. (except Poster HQ papers).

She is a photographer and teacher specializing in the creation and accompaniment of photographic processes. Professor of photography at the University of Barcelona, ​​UNIBA, Institute 8, and Alas Arts en Moviment. She has been designing and teaching participatory photography projects and visual education workshops at Photographic Social Vision since 2004. Mireia Plans has a degree in Fine Arts [UB] and Graduated in Photography [IEFC]has exhibited at the Cidade da Cultura de Santiago, the Architecture Biennale of Venice or the Valid Foto Gallery. He is currently pursuing his doctoral studies, researching in the field of participatory art and photography as a tool for social inclusion and personal transformation. [+ info]

David Salcedo

David Salcedo, defines himself as a person who, from tenderness and silence, macerates his photos. Author of several books, fanzines, winner of several national and international competitions, photo teacher and with a huge list of publications in different media and supports, David collects the testimony of Spanish auteur photography, weaving its magic and bringing together the black and white heritage of deep Spain, with a cosmopolitan and urban vision. commitments

The winning exhibition project undertakes to cite CC Pati Llimona and the call, every time it uses the images printed through the prize of this call.

Selection criteria

The selection criteria that will be assessed will be:

  • The technical quality of the images presented.
  • Taking advantage of the different photographic languages.
  • The coherence of the project.
  • The degree of development of the project to be exposed.
  • In case of use of images made with AI, the reason for use within the project must be notified and explained. If the organization deems it appropriate, the RAW files of those images that the jury deems necessary may be requested.
  • The integration of the proposal within the different exhibition spaces*.

Is will especially value, propose activities related to the project presented (Ex: guided tours, educational or informative talks, etc) organized by the same person presenting the project.

The activity, the tasks to be carried out by the person making the proposal, and the tasks to be carried out by CC Pati Llimona, if necessary, must be specified.

  • Material to send:
    • the images They must be in low quality JPG format (not exceeding 1 MB each).
    • A document containing the presentation and explanation of the project, with the techniques used. A summary of the project of maximum 1500 characters/ 250 words. Information on the amount, size and support of the images to be exhibited (in the event that the exhibition phase of the project is not closed, participation in the project will not be excluded)
    • This material must be delivered via a cloud hosting service (Dropbox, One Drive, NextCloud) or can be submitted via a service such as Wormhoole https://wormhole.apps/ or like SwissTransfer https://www.swisstransfer.com/es
    • Please use the same email to register and to send the project. This, in order to speed up the project reception process.

If necessary, this registration can be completed directly at the Pati Llimona headquarters.

  • You must deposit in Pati Limona, a memory stick or a CD, with the images in low quality JPG format (not exceeding 1 MB each).
  • A printed document explaining the presentation and explanation of the project, with the techniques used. A summary of the project of maximum 1500 characters/ 250 words. Quantity, size and support of the images to be exhibited (in case the exhibition phase of the project is not closed, participation in the project will not be excluded)

All together, in an envelope with the name and surname of the person, the name of the project and written on the same envelope.

conditions

  • All people of legal age can participate.
  • The selected people must be present during the assembly, opening and dismantling of the exhibition.
  • If necessary, the Pati Llimona Civic Center will provide technical advice for assembly, which the selected person must be fully responsible for.
  • The participating person is responsible for having the authorship of the photographs and/or having the copyrights, as well as the right to use the image of the people who can be recognized.
  • The Pati Llimona Civic Center is responsible for spreading the word through:
    • Printing of up to 200 postcards (approximately) of the exhibition.
    • Broadcast for your social networks.
  • The author will collaborate with Pati Llimona to disseminate the exhibition through its own communication tools and networks.
  • If the author wants to insure his work, the costs will be borne by him. The Civic Center assumes no responsibility for the works on display.
  • The winning person will not be able to exhibit again at Pati Llimona, at least, until a call has passed between their selection and the presentation of a new project.
  • The works will be returned to their owners, immediately, after the end of the exhibition and up to two weeks at the most. Once this time has passed, the Pati Llimona Civic Center is not responsible for this material.
  • Participation in this call means acceptance of the conditions stipulated therein.
