From November 11 to November 15, the Convent Civic Center of Sant Agustí organizes the XIV Sound and visual show; A festival that, through this call, aims to support and visible to proposals that touch sound and visual experimentation, electronics, improvisation and dialogue between disciplines, in various formats: direct, workshops, conferences and artistic installations.

Emerging territory and artists, at the center of the sample
This year we want to place the territory – And specifically, The district of Ciutat Vella (Barceloneta, Raval, Gothic, Sant Pere, Santa Caterina and La Ribera) – as the backbone of the sample; A territory, not only physical, but also alive, culturally diverse, and with history. We invite artists, creators and groups to present proposals that work from this territory and with this territory – which not only intervene, but also read, listen to and inhabit it critically, poetic or experimentally – and explore the capacity of art to generate new imaginaries in relation to the place, the people who inhabit it (children, young people, adults and the elderly, social, emotional or digital).

This year’s sample aims to become, not only a space for reflection in the neighborhood itself, a point of dialogue between contemporary art and the citizenry, but also a platform for the support and visibility of emerging artists and unusual contemporary proposals.
