
Copp is born in an event with other collaborative initiatives – Ateneu
The COPP (the Coordinator for Heritage and Landscape) of Sant Feliu de Llobregat was presented on March 27 as a new reference in the defense of the historical, cultural and natural legacy of the city. This citizen initiative, promoted by various local entities, arose in response to the constant threat of urban planning on local heritage.
The coordinator is born in response to years of loss of goods due to intense construction and work ͏ in large ones. The lack of C.Sros plans pe͏r caring for the e -element of architecture and Nat͏ura has left the local heritage very weak and within the framework of this socio -economic and cultural situation, the Copp is born.
Objectives and commitments
COPP pursues three main goals:
- Joining efforts between people and entities defending heritage
- Visit the threats that endanger the heritage elements of the city.
- Propose solutions actively collaborating with the Administration to guarantee the preservation and promotion of the Santfeliuenc legacy.
A value proposition
With the creation of this coordinator, Sant Feliu has gained a collective and powerful voice to defend his past and ensure that future generations can enjoy his heritage. In addition to reporting possible attacks on the heritage, COPP is intended to be an active interlocutor with institutions to promote the conservation, restoration and dissemination of heritage. Betting on a city with a memory, where the conservation of heritage is a priority and defending a model of sustainable development that will be economic growth with the protection of the environment and cultural heritage, making it accessible to everyone.
Thursday, March 27 – Presentation of COPP and APEU
On March 27, the Coordinator of Organizations for Heritage and Landscape (COPP) in Sant Feliu de Llobregat was presented publicly. This group was born with the aim of defending and promoting historical heritage and local landscape, as well as promoting citizen participation in the decisions that affect these areas. During the presentation, the importance of establishing an open dialogue with institutions and the need to involve the community in the preservation of the city’s cultural and natural legacy was emphasized. COPP aims to be a meeting place for entities and people interested in the protection of the Santfeliuenc Heritage, promoting initiatives that value local identity and respect for the environment.
Sunday, March 30 – Guided tour of the farmhouse of Can Furriol
Last Saturday, March 30, a guided tour was made to the Can Furriol farmhouse, located in the Collserola area, with the aim of knowing and valuing the historical, cultural and rural heritage of Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
The activity allowed attendees to discover the history of this emblematic farmhouse and reflect on the importance of preserving the rural legacy of the city, often unknown but closely linked to the local identity and the natural environment of Collserola.
The visit is part of a series of initiatives that seek to bring citizens closer to the territory and claim their heritage and landscape value.
Thursday, April 3 – Screening of the documentaries of Water mines
Last Thursday, April 4, CineBaix He hosted a special session with the screening of two documentaries on the water mines of Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The activity wanted to be a space for reflection on this historical hydraulic heritage, key to the development of the city. After the projection, a colloquium was made with the participation of experts, such as the geologist Joan Antoni García and representatives of urban community, who emphasized the importance of preserving and publicizing this legacy. The event is part of a community project that seeks to recover the memory of the water mines, foster their protection and involve citizenship.
Saturday, April 5 – Day ‘We clean Collserola’
Last Saturday, April 5, a new Collserola cleaning day was held, an activity organized jointly by the entities La Revolta, Seny and Order, Friends of Nature and the ADF. The action was attended by dozens of volunteers who traveled the section of the Llobregat river around Sant Feliu de Llobregat.
Throughout the morning, the participants collected a total of 680 kg of waste, a figure that highlights the importance of continuing to promote actions to raise awareness and maintenance of natural spaces. This initiative is part of the efforts of entities to protect the environment and promote ecological awareness among citizens.
From the driving organizations the collaborative spirit of the day was emphasized and it was called to continue working together to preserve the natural spaces of the municipality.
Sunday, April 6 – Walking for the works @burnt.
On Sunday, April 6, a critical walk was carried out around the burial of the Renfe roads in Sant Feliu de Llobregat. The activity, open to the public, invited to observe and analyze the urban changes that are taking place in the municipality in the wake of this historical transformation.
The proposal, as well as the guide that accompanied the route, went hand in hand with the @burnt project.efemerides, which works to recover the collective memory linked to the burial and foster a critical look at its impact.
With this initiative, participants were able to collectively reflect on the city’s urban planning future, questioning the development models, the use of public spaces and the importance of a transformation designed with and for the citizenry. The activity emphasized the memory, participation and the need for a fairer and more sustainable urbanism.
The founding entities are: 1854 association, Friends of nature, Sant Feliu Research and Studies Grouping (ARES), Local roots, Mine study team and other water roads, Apeu, Art Circuit Association, Ateneu Santfeliuenc, Urban Community of Sant Feliu de Llobregat and MTK SPACE.
The entities that support are: Cinebaix Association, Friends of the Roses and Llob.
