Building shared meaning through the image
Activity promoted by APFI (Professional Association of Facilitation with Images) to bring and promote facilitation with images and participatory methodologies to the general public.

What can open the image in the groups beyond the word?
At a time when a large part of our conversations quickly pass through images, FotoMatriu Social proposes to stop and look at folds. This workshop invites you to experience the image as a collective language to open dialogue, generate reflection and build shared meaning.
Through a participatory methodology based on photographs, we will explore how images can help us put a name to what is sometimes hard to express in words alone. Through observation, listening and group exchange, we will collectively develop visual and reflective responses to questions that emerge from the common.
the session it is aimed at people who accompany group processes or work with the collective from different areas, interested in incorporating the image as a tool for facilitation, reflection and construction of shared meaning.
Specifically:
- Facilitators of groups and participatory processes
(community facilitation, mediation, coaching, dynamism of teams) - Educators and trainers
(teachers, non-formal education, professional training, artistic education) - Professionals in the social, artistic or therapeutic fields
(social intervention, community work, art therapy, psychotherapy, cultural projects)
You don’t need to have previous experience in either photography or facilitation.
During the session we will carry out a practical experience of FotoMatriu Social using a bank of images provided for the workshop. We will close with a space of synthesis and collective dialogue on which we have lived and on the possible applications of the methodology in different educational, community and group contexts.

About Daniel Fernández
