We start the countdown for the Cooperative May – Ateneu

May approaches, and with him comes a new edition of the Baix Llobregat Cooperative Maythe most anticipated annual appointment for the cooperative world and the social and solidarity economy (ESS) in the region.

Throughout the month, municipalities throughout the Baix Llobregat will host an extensive program of activities promoted by entities, cooperatives and transformative projects in the territory. Workshops, talks, routes, debates, film forums, family activities and much more … proposals designed to raise awareness, connect and grow the ESS network.

Cooperative May is a collective program that, over six previous editions, has added more than 200 activities and dozens of agents involved. It is not just a calendar: it is an opportunity to value the work that is done throughout the year from the transformative economy and, at the same time, to open meeting spaces with the citizenry to grow the community.

“It is a month to make visible the projects that people put in the center, which are committed to sustainability, economic democracy and commitment to the territory,” say the driving force behind the Ateneu Cooperativa del Baix Llobregat.

This 2025, in May Cooperativa wants to go further, and that is why we call on all the entities of the Baix Llobregat to join: Propose activities, collaborate with other initiatives, go out and share your work. You are still in time to contribute to the calendar and be part of this collective space of visibility.
