We reschedule this hypnotic solo in which Jan Martens dives into the one…
We are reprogramming this hypnotic solo in which Jan Martens immerses himself in the universe of one of the most important harpsichordists in the world, Elisabeth Chojnacka, who contributed to the renaissance of this instrument and who died in 2017. This piece is a danced portrait with a very varied soundtrack: a selection of the music that Chojnacka recorded throughout her fifty-year career, from Nyman to Montague to Ligeti, all performed by herself. The goal is for the dance to stay true to often complex scores. ‘Elisabeth gets her way’, 19 and 20 October at the #mercatflors
