A street market is a symbol of continuity and legacy
In the spirit of gratitude thanksgiving Just around the corner, next Saturday, November 23, we will be once again in Plaça Pau Casals celebrating the past. At the Flea Santaco vintage market you will find 100 second-hand stalls with clothes and items for all bodies, tastes and homes. A collection that pays tribute to the lives that have passed before each object.
Can you imagine finding a classic-cut jacket, a vintage tie, a suit that preserves the history of an orchestra conductor? Maybe the ghost of Pau Casals is lurking around there.
A little bit of history.
Pau Casals began playing the cello as a child and established himself as one of the greatest performers of this instrument. Although he is known for his brilliant musical career, he was also a fervent defender of peace, solidarity between peoples and human rights. It is not surprising that tribute was paid to him in a place as emblematic as this square, in the center of Barcelona.
Of course, Flea Santaco asks for another rhythm, one more upbeat, one that DJ Beats on Wheels dominates on vinyl. The most popular songs from the 80s and 90s will accompany us throughout this day in which there will be no shortage of music, workshops and a lot of gratitude to all the people who keep the vintage markets alive.
Do you want to participate?
On October 25 at 12 noon we open registration for members, and on November 1 at 12 noon for the general public.
You can sign up for this and other markets here.
About Flea Market Barcelona
Since 2007, our maxims are creativity, sustainability and community. We firmly believe that there is no expiration date for art and fashion; Any object can have a second life, even a third and a fourth. In the hands of a new person, every treasure shines again.
With this philosophy, we reduce waste and excessive consumption and promote the circular economy.

Flea Santaco is one of the only second-hand markets that survives Pla Endreça
Since the end of El Flea’s activities in the Raval neighborhood was announced to us at the beginning of the year, we have kept our heads high thanks to local markets that allow us to keep the community active and vintage alive.
The panorama of the measures taken by Barcelona City Council continues to be bleak and desperate for all of us who are part of Flea Market Barcelona. Our greatest wish is to reverse the situation and be able to return to doing what we are passionate about and have been doing for more than 12 years.
