This Week at The Comedy Clubhouse: December 16-22
Hello, hello! The year is winding down, but we never stop doing shows and trying to make you all laugh!
We’ve got plenty of shows this week, but I’d like to give a special shoutout to Marnie Manning & Friends this Wednesday at 7:30pm! Marnie is one of the brightest stars to come out of our lil comedy scene, as she’s spent the past couple of years touring around the US and Europe with Michelle Wolf. While on tour, she’s also gotten to perform at some of the top comedy clubs, like NY Comedy Club and the DC Improv, and was the first English-speaking performer at Barcelona’s Cruilla Festival. Not only is her stand up really funny, but her crowd work is hilarious and lightning fast. We’re so happy she’s back in town for a bit to host this great evening of comedy! She’ll be joined by her funny friends Jamie Lerner, Andy Casper, and Fil Varney.

Saturday Spotlight: Gus Horn
Ever wonder what happens when a nuclear engineer ditches the lab coat for a microphone? Enter Gus Horn, who took his talents from the reactor core to the comedy stage, performing in 20 countries across 3 continents. If you’ve ever felt like a fish out of water—or just like a fish—Gus has probably got a joke for you. Gus has graced stages from the Pânc Comedy Festival in Slovenia to opening for comedy heavyweights like Russell Peters, Nikki Glaser, Rafi Bastos, TJ Miller, and Sam Tallent. He’s got the laughs to prove it.

🎤 The One Minute Mic is back this Tuesday! Anyone who signs up can get the chance to perform 1 minute of comedy to the audience and a panel of comedians led by Irene Sango and Jordan Thomas Gray. After their minute of glory, the panel will interview them, give feedback, and perhaps even award a prize! Come see the birth of a new career, or a 1-minute long trainwreck!

🔥 It’s the final Roast Battle of the year, and we’ve got more exhibition battles to keep our battlers sharp in the off-season! Catch battles from Mila Kopaeva vs Palla, Carter Morgan vs Jordan Thomas Gray, Ava Lovelanche vs Victor Pop, and Alice Russo vs Mariah Girouard. Judged by James Regal, Stuart Kennedy, and reigning champ Ben Pabla, with host Fil Varney.
💬 Marnie Manning Runs Her Mouth is a stand up comedy show and she is just joking. Don’t overthink it. The show will be jokes revolving around her personal life, and her silly viewpoints of society. And seriously, she’s just joking. This show is a WIP. Bring cash to donate at the end!
🍆 Bang? Marry? Kill? is back this weekend! Comedians will do their best sex/relationship/dating material, then try to decide who in the audience should bang, marry, or kill each other. You’ll also get the chance to vote on whether you’d bang, marry, or kill the comedian! It’s a fun, sexy, and interactive show hosted by Belinda Filippelli. This week, catch sets from Alex Jacob, Romina Cocca, Iain Anderson, Jamie Lerner, Gus Horn, and Mariah Girouard.
🏴 Start your Saturday night in the company of two of Barcelona’s top comedians – Darren Cullen and James Regal. Darren and James will both perform extended sets of their best tried and tested material, while trying to avoid the English urge to apologise for absolutely everything. From stories about navigating the Catalan medical system, to an unfortunate incident at a Spanish buffet, come and enjoy some British humour at its finest.
🙅 Check out our take on the classic gong show format at Gong Wild! Brave comedians will do their best to entertain the audience, but if they fail, they’ll be kicked off stage with the devastating bong of the gong. If they succeed, they’ll get cash! It’s the only show guaranteed to be either incredible, or short! Hosted by John Allis.
