The thread of the water
In the monastery of Pedralbes the water is more than a symbol: it is a real and tangible thread that speaks of the daily and spiritual life of the fourteenth -century community. With the guided visit, the Water Thread, the monastery invites to discover how this essential resource integrates into the architecture and spirituality of the whole, offering an unpublished look at the heritage of the monastery and proposing a journey back in time. During the visit, the participants follow the layout of the water through essential spaces such as the cloister, the kitchen, the refectory, the cloister of the cats and the medieval vegetable garden, explaining how the water was organized and distributed through channels, ditches and distribution systems adapted to the relief of the terrain.
