The Social and Cooperative Economy Fair returns to Molins de Rei with its ninth edition – Ateneu

From January 30 to February 1, 2026, Molins de Rei will once again be one of the epicenters of the social and solidarity economy in the Baix Llobregat with the celebration of 9th Social and Cooperative Economy Fair (FESCMdR2026). The appointment will take place within the schedule of the 175th Candle Fairan event with great tradition that, in its last edition, attracted more than 350,000 visitors from all over the territory.

Organized by Molins de Rei Town Council, with the support of the Ateneu Cooperatiu del Baix Llobregat and the collaboration of the Diputació de Barcelona and the Generalitat de Catalunya, the fair aims to highlight the companies and initiatives that make up the co-operative and transformative fabric of the region.

The FESCMdR2026 will occupy a prominent space in the Business Space of the Fair, with a collective stand of 48 square meters, located on Paseo del Terraplè. During three days, the participating cooperatives will have the opportunity to make their products, services and values ​​known to a wide and diverse audience.

The objective is twofold: to bring the social and cooperative economy practices closer to citizens as a real and viable alternative, and to generate a space for meeting, exchange and cooperation between the entities of the sector. The FESCMdR2026 thus consolidates itself as a privileged showcase to show the potential, creativity and resilience of the cooperative initiatives of the Baix Llobregat.

In addition to the display of experiences, the fair will also allow you to get to know the resources that Molins de Rei City Council offers for the creation and consolidation of cooperatives, as well as other business promotion services in the field of the social economy.

Cooperatives wishing to participate in this ninth edition can do so by prior registration until January 26, 2026. The selection will be made in order of arrival of applicationsand confirmation will be communicated on January 27.
