The Ramon Llull Institute assumes the vice-presidency of the ENLIT European network – Actualitat Detall


Julià Florit, technician in the Literature Department of the Ramon Llull Institute, has been appointed vice-president of the European Literary Translation Support Network ENLIT (European Network for Literary Translation). The Institute is a founding member of this network, created in 2016 as part of the Frankfurt Book Fair, dedicated to promoting literary translation and increasing the international visibility of European literature, both on a global scale and in its own territories.

Currently, it has the participation of 30 European entities and has held its last meetings in Barcelona, ​​Vilnius, Thessaloniki and Prague. Julià Florit has been a member of the board of directors since 2023.

Through aid programs, cooperation between members and the development of joint projects, ENLIT works for a dynamic, diverse and accessible literary ecosystem, covering the entire book value chain and promoting dialogue at fairs and international professional forums.

The governance of ENLIT rests with a Board elected by the members, currently formed by Martin Krafl (Czech Literary Centre), who is its president, Julian Florit (Institute Ramon Llull), vice president, Alexandra Büchler (Literature Across Frontiers), Ilvi Liive-Roosipuu (Estonian Literature Centre) and Aunt Strandén (FILI Finnish Literature Exchange).
