
The new Congress of Catalan Culture, at the Carulla Foundation

The Carulla Foundation will host an event within the framework of New Congress of Catalan Culture. The day, which will be held next Wednesday April 9will be articulated around the climate emergency. Based on a debate between the various participants, the proposal will explore concrete actions to address the ecological challenge, both from a global and country perspective. Later, there will be a guided tour of the exhibition “Plastic. Great or perverse?”. The event will be held At the Carulla Foundation Mutar space at 6 p.m. The entrance will be open to everyone.
The Day will be involved: the director of the Advisory Board for Sustainable Development, Arnau Queralt; The head of climate change of the Government of the Balearic Islands, Amengual Caterina; The eco-designator and curator of the exhibition “Plastic”, Núria Vilaand the cultural and former director of the Terra Museum, Gemma Carbówhich will be the moderator of the debate. The day is part of the first area of the new congress: “How do we stay?” The activities of this axis focus on the sustainable development of Catalan society, both in terms of the energy sector, the consumption or the balance of the territory.
The Congress of Catalan Culture, held from 1975 to 1977, was a key event in developing the institutions and structures of Catalonia today. Fifty years later, The congress returns with the aim of jointly achieving the challenges we face as a country.
