The Sitges Museums pay tribute to Charles Deering, the American philanthropist behind Maricel (1918) and who had previously hosted the Hospital de Sant Joan, which is now commemorating its 700th anniversary. The deputy for Culture, Pau Gonzàlez, attended the event, accompanied by the mayor Aurora Carbonell, who discovered the plaque of the illustrious son of Sitges, the work of Josep Llimona (1916). In addition, the place where the portrait of Charles Deering made by Ramon Casas (1914) will be exhibited has been presented and the route that bears his name through different parts of the town has been announced.
