The Moving Identities project concludes three years of European collaboration with an international symposium in Copenhagen


The European project Moving Identitiesof which the Nau Ivanow is one of the partner entities, will celebrate the end of its three years of activity with the professional symposium Moving Perspectiveswhich will take place on May 19 and 20 in Copenhagen, Denmark. The event will gather around one hundred artists, curators, cultural managers and institutional leaders from all over Europe to reflect on itfuture of performing arts on the continent.

The symposium will take place in UP – The Development Platform for Performing Artsand is conceived as a professional forum for exchange, inspiration and debate about the inclusion, representation and institutional responsibility in the sector. For two days, the program will combine round tables with artists and institutions, working groups, workshops, artistic presentations and informal networking spaces.

The event is aimed at performing arts professionals, producers, curators and representatives of cultural institutions and public bodies interested in moving towards one more inclusive, representative and socially responsible sector. The first day of the symposium will be broadcast live online, while to participate in the second day you will need to attend in person.

The meeting will be held entirely in English and the venue will be wheelchair accessiblewith rest areas and a specific room for children and caregivers. The organization encourages participants to prioritize sustainable means of transport and subsequently a study of the carbon footprint of the event will be carried out.

The Nau Ivanow is partner of Moving Identities since 2023 i has welcomed and accompanied a total of eight groups of artists of performing arts: three Catalans and five Europeans, selected by the project through a public call.

Moving Identities is a European exchange and residency program that promotes diversity in the performing arts i strengthens international networks between underrepresented artists. Through national and international residencies, the program offers support for creation, visibility and professional connectionsin addition to promoting the exchange of good practices between participating institutions.

Each year, a group of artists is selected per country, who hold three consecutive residencies: one in their country of origin and two internationally.

The program has the supported by Creative Europe and is led by six European institutions: Ship Ivanov (Barcelona), UP (Copenhagen), David (Hammerfest), hellerau (Dresden), Kunstplaats Vonk (Hasselt) and start (Latvia).
