‘The Inheritance’ and ‘The Third Fuga’ and ‘Soul’, the most nominated for the VIII Teatre Barcelona Awards

Barcelona Theaterthe magazine, digital billboard and reference performing arts community, has announced the shows and professionals nominated at the VIII Barcelona Theater Awardswhich recognize the best of the 2024-2025 season on the Barcelona billboard. The awards are chosen by voting from the public and a professional jury and take into account the shows scheduled in Barcelona between July 1, 2024 and June 30, 2025.

More than fifty different montages choose a prize in one of the 20 categories. The most nominated proposals this year with 4 nominations are The inheritanceproduced at the Teatre Lliure (best theatrical show, best direction with Josep Maria MestresBetter performance with the actor Marc Soler and best distribution interpretation for the role of the actor Carles Martínez). They also follow it with 4 options The third escape, as the best theatrical performance, best direction and best authorship (Szpunberg Victory) and Revelation Award (Ton Vieira); and in the category of musicals accumulates 4 nominations the assembly Soul Produced by the Teatre Nacional de Catalunya that chooses to be the best musical show, but also to the best direction (Oriol Burés, Víctor G. Casademunt and Gara wheel), Best original authorship (Blanca Bardagil, Oriol Burés, Víctor G. Casademunt and Marc Gómez) and best interpretation of musical (Paula malia).

Among the shows with three nominations are two more musicals: the classic Sea and sky by Dagoll Dagom with recognition for best musical, best musical performance (Alexia Pascual) and the revelation award (Esteve Roig); and The day of the marmot by Nostromo Live, which chooses two interpretative awards in the category of Musicals (Roc Bernadí and Diana Roig) And also in the best musical award. They also stand out, also with 3 nominations, two shows: on the one hand, the first production of the Texas Space, The principle of Archimedes of Josep Maria Mirówhich competes as the best proximity show and adds two more nominations: Tarrida frameas best interpretation and its director, the young man Leonardo V.
