SYNOPSIS
Benjamin (Vincent Lacoste), a PhD student without a scholarship or a clear future, accepts a position as a substitute teacher of mathematics at an institute outside Paris. Without training or experience, he faces a fragile educational system, marked by a lack of resources and institutional pressure. In the midst of tensions, shared routines and borderline situations, he will discover the value of collective work and the teaching profession. Alongside a diverse group of teachers, his vocation will begin to take shape.
Good teachersby Thomas Lilti, is a choral dramatic comedy that humanely and rigorously portrays the day-to-day life of teachers. Far from melodrama or epic, the film opts for a close look, focused on the relationships within the cloister and the structural difficulties of the system. Lilti shares the lead with balance and builds a fluid and empathetic narrative, with solid performances from Vincent Lacoste, Adèle Exarchopoulos and François Cluzet.
