The Gaudí Theater Plan for this summer
The Gaudí Theater premieres The plansa new comedy written by Yago alonso and Eva diesdirected by Alonso. The play portrays two couples dragged to share the free time in the wake of the friendship between their daughters, and focuses on the tensions that are hidden behind the social relationships imposed and the expectations of being “good parents”.
The starting point is a small lie: Pep and Marta decide to pretend to have separated to avoid making more plans with their friends, Miqui and Mamen, parents of their daughter’s best friend. What was to be a strategy to avoid a holiday becomes a spiral of unexpected reproaches, misunderstandings and revelations. “The plans It is a comedy that dissects the life of a couple, the relationships with the other parents of the school and the social pressure of being good parents, “says the director of the show. The play shows how parenting can become an extension of social relationships and generate links that are not always desired.
“ The two couples met four years ago when their daughters became friends in kindergarten, and the fact that girls are inseparable, drags them on to make joint plans: dinners, holidays, weekends … always with the girls in the background, linking the parenting to their social relationship, imposed and full of tension, ” says the author, and adds, and adds: Often in an excuse not to break dynamics that no longer work.
Starring in Llorenç Gonzàlez, Núria Deulofeu, Laura brings and Roger Cantos, The plans is inscribed in the line of work of Yago Alonso, co -author – together with Carmen Marfà– of recent theatrical successes like Its presence, Fine skin, Sheep or Extraordinary measures. His new assembly approaches the contradictions of adult life with humor and a critical look at the social conventions that surround the family.
