The Gaudí Film Cycle continues its commitment to the international promotion of Catalan productions, and in 2026 it will be present in five cities across Europe, the Americas, and Africa. The cycle already began this January in Berlin; in February it will take place in Mexico City, in March in Chile, and in April in Rabat and Washington. The titles that, for now, are scheduled are the following:
Hail Mary, Mar Coll (2024)
The flashes, Pilar Palomero (2024)
The grandmother and the stranger, Sergi Miralles (2024)
Wolfgang, Javier Ruiz Caldera (2025)
deaf, Eva Libertad (2025)
far away Gerard Oms (2025)
As for the venues, the screenings take place at Kino Babylon Mitte (Berlin), Cinema Tonalá (Mexico City), Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (Santiago de Chile), Renaissance Cinema in Rabat, and E Street Landmark Cinema in Washington.
Once the project had been consolidated in Catalonia—where it is present in more than 130 municipalities—and after some occasional experiences within the Catalan-speaking territories (Alghero and Catalonia Nord), in 2023 the Catalan Film Academy, together with the Institut Ramon Llull, decided to introduce the initiative to other countries on a regular basis and with a unified program. Mexico was the first country where the initiative was exported, and the others have joined over the past three years. In 2025, the international cycle attracted 2,489 spectators.
