The Free Arts Center reinterprets Brossa’s legacy with the second edition of Exorcisms, heritage and performativity – Fundació Joan Brossa


Exorcisms, heritage and performativity wants to vindicate Joan Brossa’s provocative attitude through different artistic disciplines.

This second edition expands the program and unfolds over two weekends and adds artists from other parts of Spain.

The second term of the Free Arts Center stands out for the program of performative conferences and projects resulting from the Hermann Bonnín and PostBrossa 2025 calls.

Barcelona, ​​January 15, 2026. – This morning, the Free Arts Center of the Joan Brossa Foundation presented to the media the program Exorcisms, heritage and performativity 2026, which will take place on January 24, 25, 31 and February 1. It is the second edition of a cycle that invites the public to explore the heritage of Joan Brossa through the visual, scenic, textual and sound arts with a series of actions that seek to activate and reinterpret the poet’s legacy with a contemporary look.

During the presentation, the act ofTribute to Pepa Llopis which took place last Tuesday and the schedule for the second quarter has been presented, with projects such as the two shows of Pau Masaló i Vivian Friederich result of the call Hermann Bonnín or the exhibition of Tanit Plana of the PostBrosssa call, as well as two proposals for a cycle of performative conferences that will last until the end of the season.
