The EXIT Days held at Nau Ivanow bring together more than 115 professionals from the performing arts sector
On November 12 and 13, 2024, they were celebrated in the Nau Ivanow les EXIT days dedicated to debating and reflecting on accompaniment and support for creation in the performing arts. Curated by Erik Forsberg and Alba Saura-Clares, from the collective The Stage Platformthey had a total of 118 people registered.
The first day started with the presentation of thereport that the Stage Platform has elaborated after one research on how support for creation in the performing arts is exercised in Catalonia. Then, a dynamic was organized with the participation of all the people present to continue talking about this topic and generate a map with the contributions that emerged. Once the dynamics were over, the assistants were divided into tables to discuss the points of tension in the support for creationto finally make a joint statement with everyone.
The day concluded with a session afterwork of electronic music live by Sergio Camachofrom the company UratiLab, and Adrià Gironafrom the Monte Isla company. Both are resident companies at Nau Ivanow.
The second day of the Conference was dedicated to talking about artistic professionalization. At the first round table, a tailor-made board game was proposed so that the participants could share and debate the accompanying models and had the participation of the artists Vivian Friedrich (circus), Amaranta Velarde (dance and movement), Galla Peire (hybrid text – scene) i Queer Falafel(performance).
The second round table was dedicated to reflecting on how take care of the calls with the participation of managers Diego Salazar (Do! Culture), Emma Brasó (talk to you), Natalia Carminati(LICC – PAAC) and the artist Matías Daporta.
The Conferences concluded with a space open to all attendees in order to finish sharing reflections and points of view on the topics discussed during the conference.
As we said in the EXIT program, we believe it is necessary find spaces to stop and think, to evaluate ourselves, listen and share with other professionals in the sector . And that is why we wanted to organize these Conferences. However, we still have a lot of work to do: collect all the material that has been generated in order to evaluate it and see how we can continue to work and grow. In 2025, the report of EXITand will be available to all who wish to consult it.
