The crisis of the 40s arrives at Sala Atrium with Ramon

The Sala Atrium recovers Ramona monologue written by Monegasque Sea and starring Francis Ferrerwhich reflects on the fear of commitment, the limits of freedom and the impossibility of stopping the passage of time. The show returns to the billboard until January 12.

The project was born from the collaboration of two friends and professional colleagues: Mar Monegal, author of the text, and Francesc Ferrer, leading actor. According to Monegal, Ramon it is “a gift made to measure and in an artisanal way” that arises as an interpretative challenge at a time when Ferrer needed to reconnect with the profession. The result is a monegal that explores the idea of loss in all its dimensions and reflects on the fear of commitment and the feeling of “youthful eternity” that characterizes much of the 80s generation.

The play narrates the story of Ramon, who, after separating from Patri, returns to live in the teenage room at his parents’ house while he looks for a flat. There, he rediscovers the guitar, the exercise bike and cassettes that transport him to the 90s. From the safety of that familiar space, Ramon recalls his past without suspecting that the present has a real emotional roller coaster in store for him. The staging uses projections and live music as key elements to enrich the narrative.

A tribute to life and the theatrical profession

In the words of Francesc Ferrer, Ramon it is a deep look at individual freedom and the struggle to maintain convictions despite the fear of responsibilities: “It is a tribute to the theatre. At the office On the stages To the music In childhood In adolescence. To love To friendship To the mother To the father”, assures Ferrer. It is also a personal review of the first 40 years of life, a claim to continue dreaming, creating and fighting despite the challenges imposed by time.
