Bio DATE -X is a new musical project by sound artist and composer Julio César Palacio. This project is born from the artist’s need to recycle and reduce the use of technological devices in musical composition, as a response to the growing technopathy and hyperdependence of devices in the production of sound content.
Prior to this project, his musical/sound practice was characterized by the use of modular synthesizers, an instrument that requires a lot of time in the studio moving knobs and connecting cables, and which perhaps involves a very isolated and introspective form of creation. This model of creation began to lose interest for the artist and to be replaced by research more linked to listening, with the idea of connecting with the soundscape that surrounds us and creating from these sounds.
This interest was linked to the practice of field recording, which the artist has carried out for the last ten years and for which, throughout this time, he has accumulated an extensive library of recordings of both nature and the animal world as well as cities and people.
NEW ERAMaria Pietranera & Rodrigo Garcia
Maria Pietranera (voice, performance), Argentinian singer, actress and composer, and Rodrigo García (sound creation), multifaceted emerging artist, come together with the intention of relaxing the mind and soul.
A live show inspired by the Renaissance and the contemplation of evolutionary nature, which reveals the changes in living beings over time, crossing opposite poles along their journey: chaos and peace, life and death.
