Take part in the new European project for free improvisation artists


I AM ABROAD is the new European project promoted by Taller de Músics, designed for strengthen the networks of improvised music in the European musical ecosystem. Selected through LIVEMX, the project starts this October and launches a series of actions aimed at respond to the needs of free improvisation artists in the export of their music.

Barcelona, ​​Vienna and Gothenburg they will work together on this initiative, organizing musical co-creation events and bringing together key players from each country, such as music export offices, international meetings and venues.

The project will include sessions open to the public in the different participating citieswhich will take place on the following dates: November 12 at the JazzSí Club (Barcelona)November 13 at the Das Werk club (Vienna), in collaboration with the DE/SEMBLE festival, and November 20 at Musikens Hus (Gothenburg), together with the Knutpunkt association. During these sessions, a series of artists will be selected who will obtain international promotion and will be integrated into a network that will connect them with institutions and professionals in the sector. In this way, I AM ABROAD will continue with more performances and new co-creation and networking sessions, scheduled for December 2024 in Vienna, March 2025 in Barcelona and September 2025 in Gothenburg.

All free improvisation artists are invited to join the session on November 12 at the JazzSí Club in Barcelona, ​​where at least two artists will be selected to participate in the project’s international events. It is necessary to register in advance before November 12, 2024.
