Sant Jordi in the Parliament | Gencat Cultural Agenda
As part of the collaboration between the Institution of Catalan Letters and the Parliament of Catalonia, since 2006 an act of tribute to Catalan literature has been held every year around Sant Jordi’s Day. This year the event changes its name, Sant Jordi al Parlament, and will be open to the public.
Tribute to the writers
The event focuses on Government commemorations related to literature (Blai Bonet Year, Clementina Arderiu Year and Josep Maria Castellet Year), and also celebrates Joan Alcover (whose death is celebrated 100 years ago and which is a Government commemoration in the Balearic Islands) and Jaume I (whose death is commemorated 750 years ago).
