Round table ‘Jordi Vila Rufas, art like office’ / Activities / visit us / start

Next Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 18:00, will take place in the Room of the Charity of the Library of Catalonia, the round table “Jordi Vila Rufas, the art as a trade”.

The event will begin with a contextual introduction to the artistic work of Jordi Vila Rufas by Jesús-Àngel Prieto, Doctor of Art History, professor and director (1993-2000) of the Massana School. Then a dialogue will be made around the person and from a more familiar side with the daughters of the artist, Elisenda and Georgina Vila Llorens. The different aspects of his life as an artist and teacher of the subject in form and color and of the specialty of altarpiece and polychrome of the Massana School of Barcelona, ​​will be focused between 1952 and 1989.

This round table is part of the activities on the occasion of The exhibition “Jordi Vila Rufas: of art and of the trade”which can be visited in the Zero Space, in the lobby of the Library of Catalonia, until January 22, 2025.
