Reference international stages have this year hosted 40 performances by great Catalan bands, with the support of the IRL – Actualitat Detall


The Ramon Llull Institute supports the great classical, contemporary and opera music groups to promote Catalan talent internationally. 14 large formations have benefited this year from the aid for the travel of large formations in the field of classical, contemporary music and opera, which was launched in 2022. Since then, international performances have doubled and this year it has reached 40, in prestigious auditoriums in Austria, Australia, Germany, France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, Finland, and Ireland.

The performances of the stand out Cobla Sant Jordi at the Elbphilharmonie, Hamburg’s iconic auditorium which organized a focus on Catalan music with the programming also of theBarcelona and National Symphony Orchestra of Catalonia and the Palau de la Música Chamber Choirand the 8 performances for Australia from Friends Children’s Choir of the Union of Granollers.

The other formations that have received this aid are the Barcelona Youth Symphony Orchestra; the Cantiga Chorale; the Granollers Chamber Choir; the Youth Chorus Friends of the Union; theCatalan Chamber Orchestra; the National Youth Choir of Catalonia; Cantoría Music; the Cor Voxalba; Vespers d’Arnadí; the Franz Schubert Philharmonic; thePopular Opera of Barcelona; the Enric Granados Auditorium Chamber Choir and the Baccelona Consort. Formations that have brought Catalan music to emblematic spaces such as Salle Cortot de Paristhe London’s Wigmore Hall or the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
