Presentation of the Manual Book of Medicinal Plants, by Júlia Yuste
Tuesday, October 29 we were lucky enough to get to know a little more about the book Manual of medicinal plants, Posted by Júlia Yuste, an agronomist and the person behind the harvester: an ethnobotanical dissemination project that aims to connect with the natural environment around us and to recover ancestral knowledge that our grandmothers, especially in the rural world, used in their daily lives.
Through formations and workshops, Júlia conveys her passion for the plant world, to arouse the desire to become also the collectors of the plants that populate our territory.
The book is a guide that allows us to easily access a detailed description of the most common plants for medicinal uses: where they grow, what can be used, what remedies we can prepare, etc. We enjoyed a small demonstration, making a homemade syrup based on ginger and sugar, showing that we can do sustainable natural medicines and environmentally friendly.
We really appreciate Júlia for sharing a little bit of her knowledge.
